Louisa Sloan graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 1999  and went on to complete a Masters in Film in 2001. Since then, Sloan has been working in the visual arts across a broad range of art forms, both with as an individual artist and with groups and communities.

Sloan has exhibited extensivley as a visual artist in galleries including Crawford Open Exhibition, Claremorris Open exhibition, The Gallery of Photography, Draiocht Arts Centre, The Rubicon Gallery, Dublin Fringe Festival, Darklight Digital Film festival and the Dublin City arts Centre. Parade, costume and community work have been shown across Ireland including Electic Picnic Music Festival, Samhain Amhain Halloween Festival and Feile na Tuaithe Country Life festival. Sloan has received many awards for her work including the Firestation Artists’ Studio Award, Digital media residency with the Visual Artists’ Ireland and Irish arts council bursaries.

Louisa Sloan is currently living and working in Co Mayo, Ireland
